KJZZ FAQ
How do I get the best reception for KJZZ?
For the best reception, you should locate your VHF/UHF capable antenna on the roof of your house, aimed at your local transmitter. When your antenna is setup properly you should get a good picture on your TV. Your local TV retail store will also have information regarding this. For any troubleshooting help, please call 801-238-6357 and our reception technician will contact you. What do I do if I only receive a picture for channel 13 and lower? If you only receive pictures on channels numbered 13 and lower, you have a setup problem. To fix this, on your remote for the TV set or on the front of the TV, press the MENU button: select the SETUP option: select the ANTENNA or TV option. You should now have pictures on channels numbered 14 and higher. If you have an autoprogram option, select it and it will setup your TV to receive all of the available channels in your area. If you have several TV's in your household, you may need an amplifier. This device helps overcome the signal loss that happens as you split the antenna signal across many TV's. The amplifier needs to be installed BEFORE the first antenna splitter in your system. Make sure all connectors are SECURELY tightened! If you have an older TV or VCR you may have separate connectors for VHF and UHF, both should be connected to the antenna cable on both the TV and VCR. The appropriate converter is available at most TV or antenna retail outlets. What do I do if I lose my picture? Power interruptions, such as power failures, power spikes, and disconnecting the set can change the settings of your TV tuner. So, if you lose your picture, check your settings as indicated at the beginning. If you have a TV set that does not have on screen programming, the set may have a TV/CABLE button on the front of the TV that you will have to reset to get your picture. Does KJZZ broadcast in High Definition? Not yet, but soon! If you have the ability to receive high-definition broadcasts, you can watch the KJZZ digital signal on channel 46-1, which has a picture quality a bit better than the analog signal on channel 14. Where is KJZZ available? KJZZ is available over-the-air via a rooftop antenna capable of receiving UHF channels 14 and above. It can also be accessed on the local channels options for Dish Network and DirecTV. KJZZ is also available on most cable systems. Where do I inquire about job opportunities at KJZZ? The Larry H.
