KJZZ Announces New Fall Programming
Adds Live Morning Newscast 10 a.m. Weekdays
Salt Lake City (September 5, 2008) – General Manager of KJZZ-TV, Chris Baum, announced new fall programming today including the addition of a live, weekday morning newscast at 10 a.m. Six additional programs will begin airing on KJZZ throughout September and early October with most shows running for two years in syndication.
“We are very excited about the shows that we have secured for our new fall lineup,” said Baum. We are bringing viewers with what they want and look forward to providing proven news and entertainment programming to this market. In addition, we are pleased to continue our ongoing partnership with KUTV by expanding our news programming to include the 10 a.m. slot in addition to the already existing 9 p.m. slot,” said Baum.
KJZZ is the only station in this market to offer a 10 a.m. newscast.

Bonnie Hunt
Acclaimed comedy producer, director, writer and performer Bonnie Hunt is coming to first-run syndication in fall 2008 with The Bonnie Hunt Show. Bringing her relatable “slice-of-life” humor and her incomparable improvisational skills to daytime, Bonnie will invigorate the daily talk show format. The show will be informative, humorous, unexpected, touching and educational, all while showcasing Bonnie’s unique sensibility. It’s wining combination of the best of the classic talk format – entertaining celebrity interviews, heartfelt human interest stories and invaluable takeaway that real women can use in their everyday lives.
The Doctors
From the creative team behind the long-running hit series “Dr. Phil” comes THE DOCTORS, a new one-hour syndicated daytime talk show. For the first time on daytime television, viewers will have a source of reliable and fascinating medical and health advice, dispensed daily by a distinguished panel of “on-call” professionals.
Better Utah
KJZZ-TV teams up with Better Homes and Gardens Magazine, Ladies Home Journal, More Magazine, Family Circle, and Parents plus dozens of the most highly trusted and widely known magazines in the country, to bring you a new daily lifestyle program for women called Better® Utah.
Better® Utah promises to be packed full of practical advice with stories on home, family, fitness, finances, cooking, travel, fashion, relationship advice plus up-close and personal interviews with celebrities, authors, chefs and fashion editors.
LOST
LOST begins airing Saturday, September 13 at 10 p.m. There will be 104 episodes telecast every Saturday Night for two years. What makes this particular syndication so intriguing is that they are re-editing all the episodes so there will be no “anniversary” shows no “flashback” shows or shows that just brought you up to date. The show will be edited so episodes run in order without interruption to the storyline. This will be great for those who never saw it or for those who want to see it again from the beginning without storyline interruption. Also, the last two years of network runs only ran (or will run) once with no repeat dates, therefore KJZZ will be the only place in Utah to see them a second time.
Without A Trace
Investigating the aftermath of a murder means getting into the mind of the perpetrator. But when the victim unaccountably disappears, the job becomes much more challenging.
Without a Trace provides a fascinating glimpse into a rarely seen arena: the search for people who vanish inexplicably.
Tim McCarver Show
The Tim McCarver Show is a personal interview style program that intimately explores the careers and personalities of sports' greatest competitors. Each show is a full 30 minutes of in-depth questions designed to elicit the most candid responses from renowned sports personalities. Tim's well-informed and thought provoking questions provide viewers with a greater insight into the minds and careers of their favorite sports figures.
