Acclaimed comedy producer, director, writer and performer Bonnie Hunt hosts The Bonnie Hunt Show. Bringing her relatable “slice-of-life” humor and her incomparable improvisational skills to daytime, Bonnie will invigorate the daily talk show format. The show will be informative, humorous, unexpected, touching and educational, all while showcasing Bonnie’s unique sensibility. It’s winning combination of the best of the classic talk format – entertaining celebrity interviews, heartfelt human interest stories and invaluable takeaway that real women cab use in their everyday lives.
This one-hour series marks the first time Hunt has hosted a talk program of her own, after guest-hosting stints on both “Late Show with David Letterman” and “Live with Regis and Kelly” earned her praise and multiple offers for her own show.
Hunt has built and impressive career of more than 20 years on the stage, in feature films and on television. An alumna of Chicago’s Second City improvisational theater, Hunt serves as executive producer, writer and star of the acclaimed comedy series “The Building,” “The Bonnie Hunt Show” and “Life with Bonnie”. She also directed, co-wrote and co-starred in the feature film “Return to Me,” opposite David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. Her other film credits in clued Cameron Crowe’s “Jerry Maguire,” in which she co-starred opposite Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger, and the box-office hit “Cheaper by the Dozen” films, in which she starred opposite Steve Martin.
Bonnie has been one of the fastest programs to clear, promptly securing nine of the NBC Local Media Division Stations – including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago – to serve as the primary launch group. “The Bonnie Hunt Show” will be produced by Hunt’s Bob and Alice Productions and paraMedia, Inc. in association with Telepictures Productions. The executive producers are Hunt, Jim Paratore and Don Lake.
