Recipe: Cedar Plank Shrimp

Cedar Plank Shrimp

1 Cedar Plank, soaked for at least 30 minutes and up to 4 hours
18 – 24 medium or large Shrimp, peeled, devained, and butterflied
4 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Butter, preferably unsalted
2 cloves Garlic, finely minced or pressed in a garlic press
½ Lemon

Arrange shrimp on soaked cedar plank.

In a small bowl or sauce pan, combine butter and garlic and melt in either microwave or on stove top. Brush melted butter mixture on each shrimp on both sides.

Place cedar plank directly on hot grill. Close lid. Let cook 5 – 6 minutes, checking occasionally. Do not turn. When shrimp turn pink, carefully remove plank from grill.

Squeeze lemon over shrimp and serve.
