Maria and her daughter Missy share Halloween party ideas. Here are some of their recipes.
SLIME
4 teaspoons of borax (you can find this by the laundry detergent), dissolved in 11/3 cups warm water
In a separate bowl mix
1 cup of water
1 cup of white glue
Food coloring or paint (to make what ever color you like)
Add the 2 mixtures together, do not stir but turn a few times in the bowl. Pull out the slime and knead it. Store in an air tight container or plastic bag.
EYEBALLS
Cut some carrots rounds, put a little cream cheese on each round, then press half an olive on top for the pupil.
BONES
Use refrigerated bread stick dough, cut into what ever length you want then make a slit at each end and roll the ends so the dough strips look like bones. Bake according to directions on package. Pile up and decorate with gummy worms.
SPIDERS
Spread some peanut butter on a round cracker, stick some pretzel sticks on each side for legs, top with more peanut butter and another cracker on top. Glue some raisin eyes on top with more peanut butter.
MONSTER MOUTHS
Core and slice some apples into about 6 pieces. Cut a wedge out of the outer with the skin on it. Spray with or dip in lemon juice (you can put the pieces in a zip lock type bag with some lemon juice). Poke slivered almond teeth into the mouth you created.
