Here are some useful hints on how Halloween can actually be a healthy day for your family.
On Halloween:
- Feed the kids a healthy breakfast.
- Get some physical activity in the day to balance out the extra calories coming in at night.
- Eat a healthy, early dinner before the kids go out trick-or-treating.
- Stock up on healthy food snacks so when they are hungry they can make good choices.
Remember the 80/20 rule. Do the healthy thing 80% of the time, and the other 20% of the time splurge a little. Halloween
can be the 20% if the rest of the week is relatively healthy.
