Home Team: Food Storage for Babies

By Steve Baxter

Infants and younger children have a higher nutritional need that is often missing in your regular food storage. Remember, your typical life sustaining foods may keep your stomach full, but it lacks nutritional value that is vital for younger people to develop physically and mentally.

Having the following items included in your food storage will help insure your children are getting what they need in an emergency and everyday cooking.

• Graham Crackers – (see recipe below)
• Canned Milk – (mix 1 part milk with 1 part water for bottle drinking)
• Cracked Wheat Cereal – (see recipe below)
• Almond Milk
• Rice Pudding
• Bread Pudding
• Soy Beans
o Soy Milk
o Tofu
