Cristina joined 2News in August of 2002. She co-anchors the 4pm newscast with Fields Moseley, reports from the 2News National Desk at 6pm & reports from the field at 10pm.

Cristina spent several years as a general assignment reporter for another Salt Lake television station before she made the move to 2News. Prior to Salt Lake City, Cristina spent a year as a general assignment reporter in Bakersfield, California. She began her television career in her hometown of Los Angeles at KTLA Television, working her way up from production assistant to segment producer for the "KTLA Morning News".

Cristina is first generation in the U.S., her parents immigrated to the states from Mexico in the early 1960s. She grew up with two siblings in Southern California, where they all attended California Universities.

She speaks fluent Spanish and is proud of her Mexican ancestry. She enjoys opportunities to emcee and support Latino community events in the Salt Lake Area.

Cristina is married and has three children.
