If the promise of technology is to simplify our lives, many say it's failing.
Reports say that despite all the advances in technology Americans are busier now than they were 100 years ago. Microwaves, tvs, cellphones and computers were supposed to help us simplify but often times it complicates lifes. As a whole more families have both parents working to make ends meet.
If you are like me...I try to juggle a full time job, additional side jobs, a husband 2 little girls and a slew of other things. And many times it's easy to get caught up in the struggles of daily life and forget what's most important. Many of us have great intentions and want to accomplish certain tasks...but, next thing you know they day is practically over, your rushing to finish dinner, bath your kids and wrap up for the evening and you say...I'll do it tomorrow. And tomorrow comes and it gets pushed back another day, then the weeks, months, years and a lifetime pass. I want to share a personal story this morning.
My grandpa Charlie has been in a Phoenix hospital for about 2-weeks and he's been on my mind a lot daily and I wanted to call him but the days continued to fly by..I had planned on calling him today. Well, He died late last night and now I'm wishing I could have prioritized a little better and found the 5 or 10 minutes to call and tell him I was thinking about him.
So, right now I want to take the opportunity that we so often miss to tell my family and friends how much I love and appreciate them. And who knows maybe you'll feel inclined to do the same. Afterall let's not put off until tomorrow what we can do today!
