KJZZ Cafe: Bee Gee Salvation

Over the years, a lot of people have wondered if rock and roll could save the world...well, as it turns out, the bee gees really could save your life:

The american heart association says that when you perform CPR, you should apply 100 compressions per minute...and scientists have found that the seminal Bee Gee's mega-smash "Stayin' Alive" registers 103 beats per minute.

What that means is, if you're at the mall one day enjoying a tasty corn dog from dog on a stick, and some guy over at chick-fil-a keels over in his chicken salad sandwich, you should think of "Stayin' Alive" while you perform CPR on him. Then you'll save his life and be a hero, just like The Bee Gees.

On the other hand, if you think of Rick Astley, you'll probably be pretty cool, too...
