Together, KJZZ TV, FSN-Utah, 1320 KFAN, 1230 ESPN Radio and thefansports.com are: “THE FAN, Utah’s Super Sports Network” bringing more local, live and national sports coverage to the state of Utah. Like ESPN on ABC, THE FAN is the umbrella brand under which all live sports and sports-related programming will be promoted and sold. THE FAN delivers sports programming on multiple media platforms - two television stations, two radio stations, and thefansports.com.
HIGH SCHOOL
Our line-up begins with Friday Night Football “High School Game of the Week”—comprised of dozens of live High School football battles broadcast only on KJZZ, KFAN, and ESPN radio. This schedule continues into High School basketball season, delivered on both television and radio. The High School season culminates with complete coverage of the High School playoff championships—when THE FAN distributes live television and radio broadcasts of the 3A, 4A, and 5A men’s football and basketball championships.
COLLEGE
Our college broadcasts includes dozens of games from three of Utah’s major colleges. The Utah State Aggies football and basketball teams appear on THE FAN with play-by-play coverage delivered on KJZZ, FSN, and ESPN Radio. This schedule includes games against Oklahoma, Nevada, and Fiesta Bowl Champion Boise State. Additional TV and radio coverage tracks Weber State and the Utes. And finally, KFAN radio supports THE FAN’s College season with live pre and post-game shows for both BYU and Utah.
UTAH JAZZ
Every company has its cornerstones. Ours just happens to be the biggest game in town. This season 84 Utah Jazz games will be split between KJZZ and FSN. KFAN radio will broadcast the full season as the Jazz chase the dream. If viewers miss it the first time, THE FAN will re-broadcast the games on both KJZZ and FSN. THE FAN will be there to cover the playoffs and next year’s Rocky Mountain Revue. With pre and post-game shows of every Fan-produced game, our coverage of the Jazz is second to none.
NFL & More
But it doesn’t end there. Joining THE FAN’s schedule this year on KJZZ are the NFL’s Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders preseason match ups, and Utah’s NBA Development League team, the Utah Flash. In the spring, viewers will also find the return of both the Utah Blaze arena football and the Salt Lake Bees. Additionally, ESPN radio will carry complete play-by-play coverage of the Bees for the 2008 season.
The Fan brings together the best in sports. At THE FAN our vision is to provide Utah’s Sports Fans the most in depth coverage of everything sports. To execute our vision we have outlined an unprecedented schedule of local and national live sports coverage. With our line-up of Utah’s premiere broadcast professionals, the Larry H. Miller Sports and Entertainment Group has built a solid foundation for Utah’s Super Sports Network… THE FAN.
