Jazz to Hold Draft Party at EnergySolutions Arena
First 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a free hot dog and Coke
SALT LAKE CITY (June 24, 2009) – The Utah Jazz will host a draft party at EnergySolutions Arena on Thursday, June 25. Doors open to the public at 4:30 p.m. with the draft broadcast, which originates from New York City, beginning at 5 p.m. (MT) on ESPN. A 2008-09 Jazz highlight video will be shown prior to the start of the draft broadcast.
Fans who attend the party at EnergySolutions Arena, sponsored by crexendo Business Solutions, will have the opportunity to watch the 2009 NBA Draft in its entirety on the AT&T SuperScreen as well as receive live Jazz draft updates throughout the night. Jazz broadcaster Craig Bolerjack will emcee the event, and the Nu Skin Jazz Dancers will be on hand. Fans in attendance will also have the chance to tour the Jazz locker room.
The first 3,000 fans through the door will receive a coupon good for a free hot dog, a soft drink, a Bees ticket voucher and a Jazz draft bingo card. Similar to traditional bingo, instead of numbers on the bingo card, the Jazz draft bingo card will contain the names of the top 35 draft prospects. As a player is drafted fans will place an “X” on that square. Fans who participate in draft bingo will have the chance to win autographed Jazz merchandise and other exciting prizes.
The Jazz currently holds the 20th and 50th picks in the 2009 NBA Draft. The NBA Draft will be televised live from WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden beginning at 5 p.m. (MT) on ESPN.
