My Grandmother Shuman grew up in the hills of West Virginia and they lived in a farmhouse. They had to grow all their own food, etc. and so it was a very rare treat for them to enjoy something like a stick of pepperoni from the market. They would buy it and they would make homemade rolls and put a small portion of the pepperoni inside and bake them. They are in fact the food most closely associated with the state and Fairmont, West Virginia is claimed the "Pepperoni Roll capital of the world" I know how you like little research tidbits, so I thought I'd add that. Anyway, by themselves they were delicious, but I like to get creative so I added my own twist to them to make them better and they are the hit of every party we go to or dinner we throw...everyone is always requesting we bring them. That is their story, but the secret is the taste which is all in the recipe. We love the show. We are "platinum viewers" and have even been to see your show a couple times live. Please consider me for the contest. I know it would be a successful recipe for the viewer book.
